The World Foundation raised $52.5 million through a strategic $WLD token sale aimed at expanding the global use of World ID technology.
Pantera Capital led the investment round. Bain Capital Crypto, Eightco Holdings, Selini Capital, and Susquehanna Crypto were also among the investors participating in the token sale. All purchased $WLD tokens will be locked for one year.
The World Foundation announced that the funds raised will be used to develop and expand the World ID infrastructure globally for businesses, individual users, and AI agents.
