On Monday, the 7th of September, Orca surged by 15% to $1.53. Buyers had absorbed repeated selling pressure through the consolidation, and that breakout confirmed a stronger bullish structure.

Initially, the token’s price rose from roughly $1.00 to $1.35 before spending the last week of August ranging between $1.22 and $1.35.

On the 30th of August, the token surged to nearly $1.50, but sellers quickly rejected the move and forced $ORCA toward $1.20. However, rather than extending lower, that increase was immediately stopped by seller activity and caused Orca [$ORCA] to go down to about $1.20.

This second attempt carried greater conviction, with expanding volume driving $ORCA through $1.35 and $1.50 into September. The price reached $1.646 before settling near $1.605, leaving $1.739 as the next major resistance.

Additionally, rising participation levels provide greater confirmation of the current bullish trend than what occurred in August. If buyers successfully defend $1.35 during any correction, it would confirm buyers have converted former resistance into support.

As a result, that defense could sustain momentum toward $1.739, while losing $1.35 would expose another failed breakout and deeper retracement risk.

$ORCA’s breakout draws a surge in leverage

Meanwhile, $ORCA’s breakout is now drawing a wave of leveraged traders. This gives the rally more fuel while making its foundation increasingly vulnerable to a pullback. Still on that, its Open Interest (OI) jumped 144.72% to $10.3 million.

This greatly exceeded the approximately 15-16% increase in $ORCA’s price, confirming new positions being taken up in the derivatives markets.

Binance holds $6.7 million, while Bybit carries $3.5 million and Kraken only $12,200. All derivative exposure is held in perpetuals, so there is no measurable amount of futures involved. Funding Rates between -0.36% and -0.84%.

This indicates short sellers are currently paying long buyers, potentially providing additional fuel for future squeezes. Meanwhile, an increasing Futures trading volume and an increasing cumulative volume delta strengthen that possibility.

However, as leverage continues to grow, continued purchasing activity may be required to continue forcing shorts to exit their positions.

Conversely, should the purchasing pressure ease, the current overcrowding in bullish sentiment could rapidly transform into selling driven by liquidations.

$ORCA’s $2 path faces a liquidity wall

That leverage buildup now places $ORCA near a decisive liquidity test, where resistance could either stall momentum or intensify the squeeze. Price trades around $1.54–$1.60, with dense sell liquidity concentrated between $1.70 and $1.80.

This supply could absorb buyers, making stronger Spot volume essential for another sustained advance. However, short liquidation clusters sit above $1.80, creating additional buying pressure once resistance breaks.

Clearing that zone could therefore accelerate $ORCA toward the psychological $2 level as trapped shorts cover. On the other hand, sellers taking control below $1.40 would damage the current bullish structure.

That breakdown would weaken the higher lows and reduce the chances of another upside move. Conversely, losing $1.40 would invalidate that structure, exposing weaker follow-through and deeper downside.

Final Summary

  • Orca crypto breaks higher as leverage builds near the $1.70–$1.80 resistance zone.
  • A break above $1.80 brings $2 into play, while $1.40 remains $ORCA’s key bullish line.
