Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced it will support the network upgrade on the Terra (LUNA) network. To ensure user transactions remain secure and seamless during the upgrade process, the exchange will temporarily suspend token deposits and withdrawals on the Terra network.
According to an announcement by Binance, deposit and withdrawal operations are scheduled to be suspended on September 21, 2026, at approximately 5:00 PM. The upgrade on the Terra network is expected to take place at block height 22,942,000, at approximately 6:00 PM.
The exchange stated that the network upgrade will not affect spot or other market transactions of tokens on the Terra network. Accordingly, users will be able to continue buying and selling tokens on the network. The temporary restriction will only apply to deposit and withdrawal transactions conducted via the Terra network.
Binance also stated that it will handle all necessary technical operations on behalf of users as part of the upgrade. Users will not need to perform any technical actions during the upgrade process.
Deposit and withdrawal operations will be reopened once the Terra network is assessed to be operating stably and securely following the completion of the upgrade. Binance stated that it will not issue a separate announcement regarding the resumption of these operations.
The exchange’s statement did not specify the exact time when deposit and withdrawal operations would resume, but indicated that they would be activated once the network becomes technically stable. Users are expected to bear in mind any potential delays during this process.
