Zebec Network, the Stellar Development Foundation, and MoneyGram have integrated MoneyGram Ramps into Zebec’s enterprise payroll platform. The integration gives employees and contractors using Zebec’s payroll service on the Stellar network access to local fiat currencies through MoneyGram’s global network.
Zebec is a blockchain platform focused on payroll and payment infrastructure. Its deployment on Stellar allows employers to stream salaries and contractor payments in stablecoins. Recipients can receive funds directly into digital wallets as payments accrue, keep or transfer their digital assets, spend them through supported Zebec cards, or withdraw them in local currency.
MoneyGram, a global provider of money transfer services, becomes the first fiat off-ramp available through Zebec’s Stellar-based payroll experience. Through participating MoneyGram locations, eligible users can convert $USDC balances into local currency in more than 170 countries and territories, subject to local availability and regulations.
The service does not require users to have a traditional bank account. MoneyGram Ramps supports $USDC cash-in and cash-out for compatible wallets and applications on the Stellar network.
