Solana is entering a decisive phase after breaking out of a months-long accumulation range and pushing through a year-long downtrend, strengthening the case for a broader market reversal. $SOL is trading near $103, but the next pullback could be more important than the initial surge as traders watch whether the $83-$85 area can become durable support.

$SOL Breakout Turns $83-$85 Into the Critical Support Test

Solana’s advance from its June lows has changed the short-term market structure, with buyers driving $SOL through resistance that had contained the cryptocurrency for weeks. The breakout has opened a potential path toward $150, but maintaining the move will depend on whether buyers defend former resistance during any deeper correction.

$SOL rebounded from roughly $60 in June and spent much of July and early August consolidating below the mid-$80s. Momentum accelerated in August when price cleared the $83-$85 region and rapidly advanced above $100.

That former resistance zone is now the most important level for the bullish setup. A retreat toward $83-$85 followed by renewed buying would establish a higher low and strengthen the argument that Solana has shifted from accumulation into a broader expansion phase.

Immediate resistance remains near $107-$112, where the latest advance encountered selling pressure. A clean break above that range could bring the $118 area into focus before $SOL confronts heavier resistance around $145-$150.

The bullish scenario would weaken if $SOL loses $83 on a sustained basis. Such a move could return price to the previous range and expose support in the upper $70s, delaying the projected continuation toward $150.

Year-Long Downtrend Break Gives Solana Bulls a Larger Target

Solana’s longer-term structure is also improving after price broke above a descending trendline that had dominated trading since the cryptocurrency peaked near $250. The break interrupts the pattern of lower highs and raises the possibility that June’s decline toward $60 marked a more significant market bottom.

The recovery has already carried $SOL back above $100, an important psychological level and a potential foundation for the next phase of the move. The next confirmation would come from a higher low followed by a sustained advance beyond recent resistance around $107.

If that structure develops, the next major upside region sits around $130-$150. Continued strength beyond that area could eventually bring $180-$200 back into play as Solana works through resistance created during the previous decline.

A move toward $300 remains a much more aggressive, longer-term scenario. $SOL would need to reclaim several major resistance zones, maintain a sequence of higher highs and higher lows and eventually challenge its previous cycle highs before such a target becomes technically credible.

For now, the near-term signal is clearer: Solana has broken two important bearish structures, but the breakout still needs confirmation. Holding $83-$85 during the next meaningful pullback would keep $150 in focus, while a sustained loss of that support would put the developing bullish reversal at risk.
