Ripple has taken its first step into the US stock market by launching its new Delta One service within its institutional brokerage platform, Ripple Prime. According to Bloomberg, the new service allows institutional investors to conduct Total Return Swaps (TRS) transactions on US-listed stocks, stock indices, and digital assets.

Ripple’s official statement indicated that the Delta One service is now available. The product is specifically designed to meet the diverse investment horizons, risk policies, and reporting needs of hedge funds, asset managers, market makers, and other financial institutions.

With this new service, Ripple Prime’s scope of activity has expanded beyond digital assets. The company already offers prime brokerage, clearing, and financing services in forex, derivatives, fixed-income securities, and cryptocurrency markets. The addition of Delta One brings US stocks and indices to the asset classes covered by the platform.

According to Ripple, clients will be able to conduct transactions across different asset classes through a single counterparty and cross-collateralize their positions 24/7. The company argues that this can particularly improve capital efficiency in large-scale institutional trading strategies.
