Hussein Zangana (Vet), director of community at the $XRP Ledger Foundation, highlights a new record for the XRPL.
In a recent X post, Vet noted a new $XRP single-ledger transaction high score for the $XRP Ledger: 2,768 transactions in one ledger. "Too slow, there is a new $XRP single-ledger transaction high score: 2,768 transactions in one ledger, got eaten like NicNac's," Vet wrote.
Impressive! Multiple 2k+ transactions per ledgers in intervals.

Biggest ledger ever just got validated a few hours ago on $XRP - 2713 transactions in one single ledger (number 106,943,716).

Vet pointedly highlights the $XRP Ledger network's fast and cheap transactions relative to other public blockchains, a feature that makes it particularly attractive for institutional use at scale.
The new $XRP single-ledger transaction high score coincides with multiple 2,000 transactions per ledger in intervals, which Vet described as "impressive." Recent hours have seen the most frequent single-ledger transaction spikes, with over 2,000 transactions.
Vet shared an image showing how the $XRP Ledger handled it with ease, with consensus stable and the ledger closing in 3.8 seconds.
He noted that the vast majority of transactions are 1-drop transactions passed on in a ring of 20 accounts, noting that this was part of "layers of probing of other bots who fired at the same time."
"Interesting in itself for those who want to dig into the motivations," Vet added, prompting a directive for node operators: "You might need to increase the message size limits of your websocket tx subscription connection if you get 1008 policy errors pulling from your node."
Demand for Zero Knowledge identity to increase
In a separate post, Vet noted that the demand for Zero Knowledge Identity will increase, spotlighting Credentials (XLS-70) and decentralized identity (XLS-40) amendments. He added that this marks another great use of blockchain technology aside from moving money and value.
In this light, confidential identity is teased as a possible upcoming proposal for the $XRP Ledger.
In a recent development, the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment went live for protocol hardening, a collection of fixes targeting several core XRPL features including Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol, Automated Market Makers, the permissioned DEX, Checks, and pseudo-accounts.
