General Updates

BaneLabs shipped v0.6.2 of the Neo X go-ethereum client; upgrading from v0.6.1 is highly recommended, especially for MainNet node operators. The update also introduces two behavior changes affecting validator policy and EVM execution, as well as three node improvements.

Neo co-founder Erik Zhang published an article outlining a broader vision for OneGate, repositioning the Neo N3 wallet as a platform for decentralized identity, permissions, and digital rights rather than primarily a transaction tool. The article, titled “Why OneGate Matters,” argues that Web3 should extend user autonomy beyond finance and into everyday digital life.

The process uses a structured three-phase approach to develop and deliver a collective multi-year roadmap and product direction. It has garnered support from Neo co-founders Da Hongfei and Erik Zhang, Neo Global Development, the core development team, and a significant number of Neo Council members.

COZ distributed 431 NEO in Proof of Working 2.10, recognizing five contributions to Neo developer tooling, storage infrastructure, event relay, and wallet analytics.

GameShame Studios joined NeoPod’s sixth community AMA, where founder Nidhish Sajwan named Neo X’s MEV-resistant design as a core reason for building the Raijin Protocol fighter jet game on the chain. Sajwan stated transaction ordering and competitive fairness were non-negotiable requirements for the game’s architecture.

The program is live and runs through 11:59 p.m. (UTC) on Oct. 10. There is a 240 USDT pool that will be split across the leaderboard and outstanding contribution categories.
