Cryptocurrency analysis platform Santiment has shared the cryptocurrency projects that have seen the highest increase in whale transactions of $100,000 and above in the last week. According to the data, Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) on the Optimism network took the top spot by a wide margin in terms of increased whale activity.
According to data shared by Santiment, the number of WBTC transactions exceeding $100,000 on Optimism increased by 13,950% in the last 7 days. WBTC was followed by Basic Attention Token ($BAT) with a 1,100% increase and Humanity Protocol (H) with a 900% increase.
Based on weekly growth rates in whale transactions, the top 10 projects are ranked as follows:
- Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC – Optimism): 13.950%
- Basic Attention Token ($BAT): 1.100%
- Humanity Protocol (H): 900%
- WhiteBIT Token (WBT): 700%
- Sentient (SENT): 600%
- The Sandbox (SAND): 429%
- Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL): 300%
- Kelp DAO Retaken ETH (RSETH): 277%
- Chiliz (CHZ): 211%
- Mantle (MNT): 200%
Santiment’s data indicates that trading activity by large investors in these projects has accelerated significantly compared to the previous week. However, the increase in whale transactions alone does not necessarily signal a buy.
