Many are watching Hedera [$HBAR] right now, with the state of things being a lot healthier than before. Will we see a return to old highs soon?
Or is it just a short-term bounce?
One thing working in $HBAR’s favour right now…
…is the return of ETF demand.
Canary’s spot Hedera ETF saw about $864K in net inflows on August 15. This has added to what is a somewhat steady buying trend.
Since launch, the fund has seen just one day of net outflows per SoSoValue. That makes the recent buying a lot more interesting.
One must note that the ETF holds around $56.9 million in net assets; its holdings are estimated at roughly 1.7% of $HBAR’s circulating supply.
A price rally is not guaranteed, but a noticeable chunk of $HBAR is now with an investment product that has mostly attracted money rather than losing it.
If the inflows continue, they could help support $HBAR’s surge.
$HBAR holds near $0.08
The token has gone up nicely from its mid-August lows near $0.065; at the time of writing, it was at around $0.078-$0.08. What’s important is that it didn’t just spike, it held its ground.
There’s healthy buying strength, and the CMF is positive at 0.11. Money is still flowing into the asset.
For now, $HBAR is consolidating at its recent high, and not giving the entire rally back.
Question is, can it keep up this pace and stay rising?
Network design could matter
Contrary to other platforms, holding $HBAR does not offer a direct vote on protocol decisions. The Hedera Council handles governance, run nodes and vote on network changes.
The transaction process is different too. Hedera uses consensus timestamps to order transactions based on when the network receives them. This is against the usual setup, where higher fees decides who gets ahead.
The idea is to make transaction ordering fairer and less open to manipulation.
While none of this guarantees a higher $HBAR price, it gives the network a different angle at a time when interest in ETF is growing.
ETF inflows need to continue, and $HBAR needs to hold its recent gains, because if it doesn’t, a return to the $0.56 $ATH may have to wait.
Final Summary
- $HBAR ETF inflows have returned as token holds gains.
- Longer demand phase could decide whether $HBAR gets another shot at breaking its $ATH.
