World Liberty Financial [$WLFI] faced a fresh bearish catalyst after its treasury transferred tokens toward an exchange.

Even so, the market held up relatively well. $WLFI gained 1.65% over the past day and traded near $0.0566.

Onchain Lens reported that the treasury transferred 39 million $WLFI into a Bybit-linked deposit wallet.

The tokens were worth approximately $2.19 million, and the tracker suggested they were likely intended for sale.

Treasury transfers to exchanges often raise selling concerns because the tokens become easier to liquidate.

However, $WLFI’s positive return suggested buyers had absorbed the immediate concern. The next question was whether they could absorb further selling.

Is $WLFI facing more selling pressure?

$WLFI’s Spot Netflow indicated that selling pressure had intensified during the past 24 hours.

Exchange Inflows reached $14.76 million, while Exchange Outflows stood at $13.41 million. This produced a positive Net Inflow of $1.34 million.

Positive Net Inflow showed that more $WLFI entered exchanges than left them. These transfers could increase the supply available for sale.

In fact, the 24-hour Net Inflow exceeded the seven-day total of $1.32 million.

The longer timeframes painted a different picture. $WLFI recorded negative Net Inflows of $640,480 over 15 days. Its 30-day Net Inflow stood at negative $8.16 million, showing that Outflows had previously dominated. That shift suggested $WLFI had moved from longer-term accumulation toward short-term exchange deposits.

Are $WLFI traders still bullish?

By contrast, $WLFI’s derivatives traders maintained a mildly bullish stance. The OI-Weighted Funding Rate reached 0.0030%, while Open Interest stood near $249 million.

A positive OI-Weighted Funding Rate indicated that long-position holders were paying shorts to maintain their exposure.

The modest rate suggested bullish positioning had not reached extreme levels.

Still, further treasury deposits or rising Spot Inflows could test that confidence. Excessive Funding Rates would also increase liquidation risks.

For now, $WLFI faced an unusual split: tokens moved toward exchanges while derivatives traders continued paying to stay long.
